Biography:

Wendi Wynazz is an award-winning variety arts performer (2014 Best SF Comedienne/Bay Area Dance Watch), director, and actor based in the Bay Area.  Wynazz was an Artistic Associate with Ragged Wing Ensemble for many years, a physical theatre company located in Oakland, CA. She is a graduate of the Circus Center of San Francisco’s Clown Conservatory (Professional Training Program), and has trained with The San Francisco Mime Troupe, Naked Empire Bouffon, Naked Comedy Lab, Berkeley Repertory School of Theatre, and with Hiroko Tamano in butoh dance. She trained in physical circus skills at the Athletic Playground in Emeryville, California.  She received her B.A in Theatre Arts from Rollins College where she focused on directing. She has toured extensively through the U.S & Canada with her productions.

Mission Statement:

Wynazz's mission is to create provocative theatrical works with extraordinarily high-production value that delight, galvanize, and challenge audiences.  Drawing on her training in clown, acrobatics, and physical theatre, she develops original character driven works that are mainly dialogue-free.  She uses clown as a vehicle to tell a deeper, more vulnerable story; one that often explores the underbelly of the human condition.
